Just like any other tourist hot spot the Kashmir area offers tourists a wide range of accommodations that they can choose to stay at when they are visiting the area. This beautiful, calm, serene area of India is one of the most traveled areas within the country of India and therefore has a number of hotels, motels and places to stay that will please any vacationer.

Luxury Hotels. These are the elite style hotels and located mostly in the valley area of Kashmir. Houseboats. It might seem unusual to stay in a houseboat while on vacation but if you want to experience what life in Kashmir is all about then a houseboat is the way to go. These boats sit on the calm lakes of Kashmir and offer small lodging accommodations to travelers. Each houseboat has running water and bathrooms. Many travelers who are looking for a calmer, serene location to visit choose to stay in houseboats because of the simplicity and beautiful landscape the surrounds a lot of the houseboats.
